We visit your property to assess the space, understand your needs, and evaluate drainage requirements. This includes accurate measurements, soil condition analysis, and identifying any access challenges. We'll discuss your usage requirements — whether you have pets, children, or specific furniture plans — to recommend the right materials and installation approach.

We remove existing grass, weeds, and debris, then excavate to the correct depth — typically 100-150mm depending on usage and drainage needs. Edge restraints are installed (timber, aluminium, or concrete) to provide a solid perimeter. We ensure proper falls for water runoff, critical for Algarve's occasional heavy rains.

This is the foundation that determines your lawn's longevity. We lay and compact MOT Type 1 aggregate (crushed stone) in layers, creating slight falls for water runoff (typically 1:100). A sharp sand layer provides final levelling. Where required, we install weed membrane to prevent growth from below.

We roll out the grass and allow it to settle (reducing wrinkles). Positioning is done with pile direction consistent — usually facing the main viewing point. Precision cutting around edges, trees, and features using sharp blades ensures clean lines. Sections are joined using specialist tape and adhesive for invisible seams, then secured using galvanized nails or fixing pins.

We apply silica sand or specialised infill using a spreader, then brush against the pile to distribute evenly. Infill supports the blades, adds weight for stability, and improves drainage and performance. A final power brush lifts the pile for a professional finish, followed by our quality inspection and handover.
